Computest Vehicle Laboratories Ltd., and Computest Automobile Engineering Equipment Ltd., were established in 1984 by Mr. Yona Ben-David. Mr. Ben-David has been involved in the development of computerized vehicle testing equipment. Computest Automobile Engineering Equipment Ltd., is involved in pre sales inspections of 2nd hand cars including annual roadworthy inspections.

Computest Vehicle Laboratories is involved in R & D and has developed the world's most advanced all in one vehicle testing unit known as the Vehicle Characteristic Tester (VCT). Unlike all other known systems, the VCT is NOT a conventional tester and does NOT analyze vehicles in a static mode.

The VCT is extremely versatile and capable of testing all road vehicles, large and small, including multi axled trucks, at speeds ranging from 0 - 250kph as required, whilst testing all parameters in true road conditions. No other equipment today is capable of performing the range of tests as those performed by the VCT including new and future innovations such as ABS, ESP, retarders and more.
